Why Is Leah Remini Filing A Lawsuit Against The Church Of Scientology?
The ‘King Of Queens’ star has been voicing against the Church of Scientology for quite a long time. She has made serious allegations against the organization. And also dragged in Tom Cruise who she says is the second in command over the dealings of the church.
Remini revealed allegations of harassment campaigns against “survivors” who quit the church including herself. Her allegations include being held at a Scientology facility for 4 months against her will and being “psychologically punished”. All this because she asked where David Miscavige’s wife, Shelly Miscavige was. The incident happened at Cruise’s 2006 Italian wedding to his ex-wife Katie Holmes. Rumors are that Cruise divorced Holmes because she refused to join the church.
The church is based on British science fiction author, L. Ron Hubbard’s writings. However, its secrecy and some practices that include members having to sign ‘billion-year pledges of servitude’ have been labeled as a “cult” by critics.

Will Tom Cruise Be Involved?
Leah Remini has sued church leader David Miscavige. And also said that Cruise is “second in command”. According to the lawsuit, the church “stalked, surveilled, harassed, threatened, intimidated” Remini after quitting in 2013.
A source confirmed, “I think that Leah will call Tom to be a witness. She claims that she was abused after his wedding, so why wouldn’t she call him? He’s a part of this.” Remini further accused the church of Scientology of spreading lies about her on hundreds of social media and harassing and threatening family members. This caused her job opportunities as well.
