Taylor Swift is not the only one with a friend group coming forward to defend, Jo Koy also has friends supporting him amid all the internet backlash and Kevin Hart is one of them. We all saw Jo Koy take the stage last Sunday at the 81st Golden Globes with his not-so-proof-read jokes. One of the jokes among a few was targeted at the global star with fierce fandom, Swift and her presence at the NFL player boyfriend Travis Kelce’s games.
The joke did not go well from the moment it was delivered. The comic himself felt it as he downplayed the situation during an interview at Billboard’s Golden Globes after-party, stating, “I was just saying it’s less cutaways, that’s all.”

Kevin Hart On Hosting Challenges
Acknowledging the demanding nature of the room and the high expectations, Hart emphasized the pressure that comes with entertaining while hosting an event like the Golden Globes. He said, “It’s an industry room where the expectation is one of like consequence, so everybody’s on edge about what are you going to say about me. It’s not one that’s attached to immediate laughter.”
Kevin Hart commented on his understanding of the hosting success: “I think the comics that have partaken and have had success, it’s because they have a nice understanding of the industry and the personnel. They have relationships like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Ricky Gervais.”
‘The Upside’ actor reassured his friend of his talent and success. He also suggested that the attention generated by the controversy could ultimately serve as a positive boost for Koy’s career.
“You’re fine, you’ll be fine, you’re a talented successful comic. By the way everyone’s talking about him, so there’s that. Yes, it’s a good thing you know who Jo Koy is now,” he commented.
