On 15 August 2024, federal authorities made five arrests in the drug investigation related to Matthew Perry‘s demise. It was stated that the accused are part of a “broad underground criminal network” that supplied ketamine to the ‘Friends‘ actor. In response to the arrests, Perry’s stepfather, Keith Morrison said that his family is looking forward to justice and is grateful to the federal officers for their exceptional work.
Out of the people charged, two were licensed doctors. Several charges were laid against Jasveen Sangha, or ‘The Ketamine Queen’. Matthew Perry’s Stepfather Hopes “Unscrupulous Suppliers” Will Get A Message From The Arrests
‘Dateline’ correspondent, Keith Morrison, expressed his gratitude towards the federal authorities who made the arrests relating to Matthew’s death. “We were and still are heartbroken by Matthew’s death, but it has helped to know law enforcement has taken his case very seriously,” Morrison stated. Attorney Estrada stated that Jasveen Sangha and Dr. Salvador Plascencia, a licensed physician, among others arrested, took advantage of Perry’s substance abuse.
Perry was undergoing ketamine therapy for depression and anxiety. The autopsy reported ketamine overdose as the cause of death. At first, Perry’s death was ruled out as accidental. So it’s a source of comfort.” Morrison added, “But also he didn’t get to have his third act, and that’s not fair.”
