Taylor Swift had the most successful year of her career in 2023. She re-released ‘Speak Now’ and ‘1989’, which have become chart-topping albums. Taylor went on the mega-blockbuster ‘Eras Tour’, which has become the highest-grossing tour in history. The Time magazine touted her as their ‘Person of the Year’, and the songstress seems to have found love in Travis Kelce.
Taylor Swift has become less political due to the backlash she received for openly endorsing Democrat Party candidates in 2018. So, it was not surprising that she did not lend her voice during the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. The war that started on October 7, 2023, has caused a great deal of loss of lives and resources, creating a humanitarian crisis. But, in a turn of events, Swift was seen attending comedian Ramy Youssef’s show in New York, which vowed to give humanitarian aid to Gaza. Due to this, she has received backlash.

Megyn Kelly Wants Taylor Swift To Be Held Accountable For Her Absurdity
Taylor Swift made a political statement after attending comedian Ramy Youssef’s ‘More Feelings’ tour. He made a stop at the Brooklyn Academy of Music for a show that was attended by Swift. The comedian made sure that all the proceedings from the show would go to the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), following the Israel-Hamas war. Due to this political act, Taylor got blasted by Megyn Kelly on her show.
During ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’, the host claimed that Taylor Swift owes an apology to the Israelis and Jewish people in America for attending the show. She said, “I hope they boycott her events until she issues it because attending this was wrong.”
When Kelly said that the singer must be held accountable for this, her podcast guest, Andrew Klavan, said that she is “too powerful” for any action taken against her.
Megyn Kelly said that Swift attending the show is no joke since ANERA is “highly political, presenting a highly biased view of the Israel-Palestine war, ignoring any Palestinian responsibility for hardship, and contributing to the demonization of Israel. That is the group Taylor Swift thought it might be fun to raise money for, attend the fundraiser for.”
She added, “Do some googling—see what they do in Gaza to gays. See about women’s rights in Gaza, Taylor.”
