The emotional dust is finally settling on one of modern television’s most defining eras. Months after the beloved Netflix sci-fi phenomenon ‘Stranger Things‘ drew its final curtain on December 31, 2025, the young stars who grew up in front of millions are still grappling with a massive life transition.
For Millie Bobby Brown, who started playing Eleven/Jane on the show at just 11 years old, the reality of parting ways proved overwhelming. Wrapping up a decade of supernatural adventures triggered an intense wave of personal anxiety, leading the actress to immediately reach out to her co-stars to keep their bonds alive. Here’s how the ‘Enola Holmes‘ actress reacted.
Millie Bobby Brown’s “Sibling” Bond That Goes Beyond the Screen

On June 24, Millie Bobby Brown appeared on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast for a candid talk. When the conversation turned to the finale of ‘Stranger Things’ and its aftermath, Brown revealed that she saw the final episode of the series together with her family.

And guess what? Brown found herself “bawling for like the whole of January,” and she also slipped into “slight” depression. “It was very hard for me,” she said. “I would not have expected that coming off of the show. I’m a very happy-go-lucky person.”
Moreover, Brown revealed that she called all her castmates to ensure that everything was okay as she bid adieu to her childhood character. Her being this sentimental is totally justified as she officially turned just 12 when the show’s production began.
Before its conclusion last year, the show featured her in 42 episodes across five seasons from 2016 to 2026. The core cast members she acted alongside included David Harbour, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Joe Keery, Caleb McLaughlin, and Sadie Sink.
Desperate to prevent any possible teenage conflict between them, which could ruin their friendship in the future, Brown decided to take things into her own hands. “They probably thought I was crazy,” she said.
“I was like, ‘We’re still friends, right? Like, you’re not gonna stop talking to me anymore?’ I was like, ‘I’m sorry if I ever upset you,’ and was just trying to mend anything…‘It’s been 10 years, and I really want to be friends. You’re my sibling,'” Brown remembered saying on the phone.

Later in the conversation, Brown admitted to crying at the beach just thinking about everything. As she explained, starting at an early age naturally made her connected with her character and the ‘Stranger Things’ cast, whom she saw more than her own family.

“I’m going to miss Eleven more than anything,” she said while describing the period as a “very, very emotional thing.” The whole conversation between Brown and Josh Horowitz will be out on June 29. Meanwhile, Brown’s career has been thriving beyond her life in the Upside Down.
Directed by Philip Barantini, the third installment of her ‘Enola Holmes’ franchise will premiere on July 1. Brown will reprise the titular character, who plans to tie the knot with Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge). She also discovers that her famous brother, Sherlock Holmes, has been kidnapped.
“Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before,” the movie’s synopsis reads. Apart from Brown, the film also features Himesh Patel, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Susan Wokoma, Henry Cavill, and Helena Bonham Carter.
