“My Daughter Is The Light Of My World”: Nick Jonas Reveals How Parenting Has Changed His Career And Perspective On Everything

Singer-actor Nick Jonas attended the premiere of his upcoming film ‘The Good Half’ in Los Angeles and revealed how parenting his daughter, Malti, with Priyanka Chopra has changed his “perspective on everything”. Jonas confessed that having a child brings huge changes in everyone’s personality, and Nick is no exception in the parenting world.

Nick desires to watch his films with his daughter in the future. Moreover, he dedicated his film ‘The Good Half’ to his daughter as one of the movies and wished to watch it with her.

Nick Jonas Is A Proud Father Who Wants To Make Movies For His Daughter

While talking to PEOPLE, Nick reflected on his parenting experience. “I think that, for me, becoming a parent changed everything in my life and my perspective on everythingThat’s a natural thing obviously that will happen,” Nick related. “My daughter is the light of my world, and making projects that I’ll be able to watch one day with her, absolutely a goal. And this movie for sure is one of those.”

The ‘Chasing Happiness’ actor dedicated the film to Malti, hoping she will watch it with her father later in the future. Nick commenting on parenting said, “My main message from this film that I left with was this idea that there’s no right way to do it.” Concluding he told PEOPLE, ” It’s not easy and there’s no question that loss as a whole is something that we all have to sort of go through at some point in our life, but there is a path forward and I think it’s all about trusting those people that love you.”

About ‘The Good Half’

While Nick had a parenting epiphany from his upcoming release, director Robert Schwartzman got closure from the production. Schwartzman’s father Jack recently passed away after a cancer diagnosis. ‘The Good Half’ revolves around Renn Wheeland, played by Jonas, dealing with grief. The film’s cast also includes Brittany Snow, David Arquette, Alexandra Shipp, Matt Walsh, and Elisabeth Shue.

The plot focuses on Renn attending the funeral of his mother, played by Shue. Renn had distanced himself from his mother earlier. The film also involves comic scenes while dealing with Renn’s loss. Schwartzman, “I think these kinds of stories can be a welcoming experience to working through grief, especially with loss to cancer.” The film is scheduled to appear in select cinemas on 15 August 2024.
