“Nothing Unlawful”: College Student Tracking Taylor Swift’s Jet Hits Back At Her For Being A Billionaire Trying To Conceal Her Conduct With ‘Empty Legal Threats’

The college student against whom Taylor Swift had threatened to take legal action, who was posting her flight’s private information on the internet, has finally responded to Swift’s team’s alarm.

Jack Sweeney, the student brought in his lawyers to make a statement against Swift intimidating him, calling his actions ‘nothing unlawful.’

Previously, the student revealed numerous data on Taylor Swift’s flying habits, often revealing her destination and duration of flights as well. Jack also commented on Taylor’s flight habits and called her out for using her private jet.

Taylor’s team soon reached out with legal action as they wrote, “For the past year, through these Offending Accounts, you have engaged in stalking and harassing behavior, including consistently publishing real-time and precise information about our Client’s location and future whereabouts to the public on social media. This conduct poses an imminent threat to the safety and wellbeing of our Client and must stop.

They further added, “You are notorious for disregarding the personal safety of others in exchange for public attention and/or requests for financial gain….While this may be a game to you, or an avenue that you hope will earn you wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death matter for our Client. Ms. Swift has dealt with stalkers and other individuals who wish her harm since she was a teenager.

The letter read, “Your willful and repeated harassment of our Client is in violation of several state laws. As is your intentional, offensive, and outrageous conduct and consistent violations of our Client’s privacy. To be clear, there is no justification for you to publicly identify our Client’s location.

Ending the letter with a threat it concluded, “If you continue to publish information that threatens our Client’s safety, she will have no choice but to pursue any and all legal remedies available to her.2 We will not hesitate to escalate this matter as needed.

Reverting to Taylor’s team’s statement, Sweeney’s attorney notes that “Your letter’s tone of alarm is unfounded. Our clients’ website only provides the location of private jets using publicly available information. That information poses no threat to Ms. Swift’s safety.”

“Put simply, there is nothing unlawful about (Sweeney’s) use of publicly accessible information to track private jets, including those used by public figures like Taylor Swift.”

“The @taylorswiftjets account is engaged in protected speech that does not violate any of Ms. Swift’s legal rights. Your letter makes that clear by failing to identify any legal claim” the letter added.

Sweeney then put out another statement along with his lawyer and said, “Billionaires- —even people as beloved as Swift—use empty legal threats to try to conceal their conduct. But what Mr. Sweeney is doing uses public information and is not unlawful in any way.”

Taylor’s team has not yet responded to Jack Sweeney’s response.
