Carbon emission has been one of the top contributors to air pollution as of lately- a massive thanks to celebrities who took minutes-long flights in their private jets for their convenience. Over the past year, celebrities like Taylor Swift have been constantly slammed for their carbon footprints and for flying a lot on their private jets.
A recent report, however, fills in on the details of the top 30 celebrities who took the most number of flights in their private jets. Here’s the list, and a shocking name missing from it.

Right on top of the list is Travis Scott, followed by Kim Kardashian, Elon Musk, Beyonce and Jay Z, Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg, Tyler Perry, Kylie Jenner and Celine Dion.
The rest of the list includes celebrities like Jeff Bezos, Jim Carrey, Drake, Mark Wahlberg and Tiger Woods.
The information has been shared by myclimate Carbon Tracker who also revealed how they bring out this information. “The myclimate Carbon Tracker uses public domain flight trackers and social media posts from influencers and celebrities to list flights, collect emissions data and also post critical, direct queries on social media. The results are made visible in a large carbon ranking,” they stated.
Fans on social media were quick to quip their opinions on this, most of them just wondering where these celebs are flying to. But the shocking part, to fans, was how one person did not make it to the list.

Taylor Swift’s Carbon Footprint
The surprising part was, however, that Taylor Swift did not make it to the list. The artist has been constantly called out for her carbon footprint and was, apparently the celebrity who took the most flights and the highest amount of carbon emission.
Data released by Yard said that Swift was the celebrity with the highest amount of carbon emissions. The report read, “Taylor’s jet has an average flight time of just 80 minutes and an average of 139.36 miles per flight. Her total flight emissions for the year come in at 8,293.54 tons, or 1,184.8 times more than the average person’s total annual emissions. Taylor’s shortest recorded flight of 2022 was just 36 minutes, flying from Missouri to Nashville.”
To which her representative responded and said, “Taylor’s jet is loaned out regularly to other individuals … To attribute most or all of these trips to her is blatantly incorrect.”
As of now, Swift is in a legal battle with 21-year-old Jack Sweeney who has been tracking her flight information and posting that information on social media. Taylor has threatened the student with legal action for revealing her whereabouts- which in turn puts her in danger.
