Perhaps out of old habits, the couple reconciled for the holidays and spent them with their children. They also performed in Miami for New Year’s and then ended up partying together, even hooking up. But Cardi B has clarified that despite all of this, they are not back together. Adding another twist to the story is the differences in their pay for the NYE party. Offset Got Only A Fraction Of What Cardi B Was Paid For NYE Performance
Some might call a new twist in Cardi B and Offset’s breakup story a classic case of turning heartbreak into success. Cardi B and Offset coincidentally performed for New Year’s Eve at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami. But there was a huge difference between how much each of the rappers earned during this party.
According to Page Six, Cardi B pocketed a whopping $1 million for her poolside performance at the party, while her ex-husband Offset, earned a mere “fraction” of that amount for his gig at the hotel’s nightclub, LIV. Which is to say that Cardi B has raked up at least double the paycheck that Offset got.
The venue for their performances was the same luxe hotel in Miami where hundreds of high-class people showed up to celebrate the new year. But Cardi B seemingly holds much more value than her ex-husband when it comes to their artistry of music.
This adds another twist to the couple’s break-up story which has been going on since they got married in 2017. Their relationship has been a rollercoaster ride since they have broken up and reconciled multiple times. The couple shares two children as well.

The Rapper Couple Has Had A Rollercoaster Relationship
The former couple, who announced their split in mid-December amid infidelity rumors, ended up sharing the same venue for their New Year’s Eve performances, creating a buzz around their unexpected reunion.
Their most recent breakup came earlier in December after Cardi B’s public tirade against Offset and allegations of his infidelity. Despite that, the two celebrated Christmas together with their two children. Another outing where they were spotted in NYC together triggered more speculation about their patch-up.
Though Cardi B refuted the reconciliation rumors, the two were seen together again in Miami after the new year countdown, first meeting up at LIV and then hitting the strip club, Booby Trap. The Internet quickly caught wind of the videos of them partying together.
Shortly after, Cardi B took to Instagram to clarify the rumors, when she even confessed to having gotten intimate with her ex-husband. She however still denied that they were back together.
“Was I clubbing with my baby daddy? Yes. Did I get d–ked down on New Year’s Eve? Yes. I needed d–k on New Year’s Eve.” she said, further clarifying that though they “love each other“, they need to address the “deep-rooted issues ” of their relationship.
