The royal family has been seeing some bad days as King Charles was recently diagnosed with cancer shortly after undergoing surgery for an enlarged prostate. The news shook many including Prince Harry, as Buckingham Palace had reassured earlier that the King was recuperating well after the surgery.
The health scare comes amid the family drama that has been active in the family ever since Prince Harry left the family after his marriage to actress Meghan Markle. Prince Harry’s relationship with his father Charles as well as his brother William has seen a major denture. However, amid the health crisis, Prince Harry has seemingly put all his bitter emotions aside.
Prince Harry Reaches Heathrow Airport To See King Charles
Immediately after the recent announcement of King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis, Prince Harry jetted off to the UK to be by his father’s side. The Duke of Sussex traveled from Los Angeles to the UK without his wife Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry reached the Heathrow Airport on Tuesday after departing from Los Angeles International Airport. The 39-year-old royal was spotted in his black Range Rover accompanied by his security team. The Duke of Sussex reportedly made a “quick visit” to Clarence House in the afternoon to see his ailing father, 75-year-old King Charles III.
Earlier reports revealed Harry’s plans to visit his dad following Buckingham Palace’s announcement of Charles’ cancer battle. “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted,” the palace said in a statement on Monday. “Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.”
“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” the palace added.

Prince Harry’s Reconciliation With Brother William Remains Uncertain
Reports suggest that Prince Harry has already spoken to King Charles III regarding the diagnosis. Meghan Markle meanwhile has stayed back in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
King Charles’ cancer diagnosis has also sparked rumors about him abdicating the throne and a potential situation where it would be ascended further to his heirs. King Charles himself ascended the throne in September 2022 after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.
Tensions within the royal family, particularly between Prince Harry and his father, escalated after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex resigned from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California. Despite the fallout, Prince Harry attended Charles’ coronation in May 2023 alongside his brother William. However, their interaction was limited pointing at some bitter air between the two.
While Harry and Charles have maintained communication, it remains uncertain if Harry has reconciled with his brother Prince William.
