‘Borat‘ star Sacha Baron Cohen and his wife of 13 years Isla Fisher diver after 13 years of marriage. The two had met at a party in 2001 and got engaged in 2004.
In an interview with the New York Times, Cohen recalled his first interaction with Isla. He called her hilarious and claimed that he instantly knew that she was the one. “She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party. I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did,” Cohen said.
However, things didn’t eventually work out for the two as they announced their split via two identical social media posts. The post read, “After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down. We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change.“
It further requested the people to respect their privacy for the sake of their and their children’s welfare. “We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
Despite the two breaking up years after being together and sharing children with each other a lot of people were happy with them splitting. This could be because of Rebel Wilson’s accusations against Sacha Baron Cohen.

Rebel Wilson Accused Sacha Baron Cohen Of Sexual Assault Recently
Australian actress Rebel Wilson made some serious accusations against Sacha Baron Cohen in her memoir. She talked about her experience while shooting Cohen’s ‘Grimsby’ in 2016 and labeled the experience as “derogatory to women or to my size.”
She recalled being humiliated and sexually harassed further calling the comedian a “fourth-grade bully who teases the fat girl on the playground and tries to make her life a living hell”. However, Cohen’s lawyers have denied the allegations and have threatened to take legal action against Wilson.
Additionally, a lot of people think that Wilson’s allegations against Cohen were ‘the catalyst’ behind his getting divorced from Isla Fisher. It was also revealed that Cohen wanted to keep the divorce secret and that Isla had filed for divorce last year.
