In a surprising turn of events, convicted rapper Sean Diddy has been put under suicide watch as he deals with his latest trial and convictions of sexual crimes. The rapper has recently been accused of sex trafficking scandals and was found in possession of hundreds of lube bottles and baby oil.
Diddy has been accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie, with video footage as evidence of the act. Moreover, he is also accused of partaking in multiple sex crimes with different women. Here’s why the rapper is under suicide watch now.
Why Is Sean Diddy Under Suicide Watch?
PEOPLE has exclusively reported that the rapper is being put under suicide watch as he deals with the trial of his new convictions. He entered a not-guilty plea and was denied bail twice this week before being remanded to MDC on Tuesday, September 17. It has not been cleared yet if he is suicidal or is grappling with any such issues- according to the report. As per sources who spoke with PEOPLE, Combs is in shock and his mental state is unknown, so this is a preventative action. In a court proceeding, Combs’ counsel, Marc Agnifilo, requested that the music mogul be moved to an Essex County, New Jersey, prison.
On Monday night, September 16, Combs, 54, was taken into custody at a hotel in Manhattan. He is accused of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting people to engage in prostitution, according to his indictment, which was unsealed the next day.
More information from his attorneys is awaited for now.

The New Charges Against Diddy
Combs was charged in the new indictment with coercing victims into “freak offs,” which the prosecution refers to as “elaborate and produced sex performances.”
It is said that he intimidated and coerced women into joining the “freak-offs” by using drugs like cocaine, ketamine, and oxycodone. Furthermore, it’s said that the “freak-offs” were occasionally recorded without the victims’ knowledge. During an operation on his homes in Miami and Los Angeles in March of this year, federal agents found three AR-15 weapons and one thousand bottles of baby oil and lubricant.
The document also described how he held power over the victims, stating, “Combs maintained control over his victims through, among other things, physical violence, promises of career opportunities, granting and threatening to withhold financial support, and by other coercive means, including tracking their whereabouts, dictating the victims’ appearance, monitoring their medical records, controlling their housing, and supplying them with controlled substances.”
Diddy will have another conference hearing on Tuesday, September 24, at 10 a.m.
