Zachary Levi Opens Up About ‘Shazam 2’ Failure
‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods‘ failed to impress the critics or the audience. It is struggling to even recover its $110-120 million budget. Zachary Levi has now taken to Twitter to write about it and express his thoughts.
According to Variety, a user wrote to Levi: “There is no denying that at the moment there are many Snyder fans who are happy for the failure of your film and many of them wish that everything that is to come fails just for not continuing with the films of their director.”
In response, Levi wrote: “This is also true. Sad, but true. How much that actually affects the box office is anyone’s guess. But I think the biggest issue we’re having is marketing. This is a perfect family movie, and yet a lot of families aren’t aware of that. Which is just a shame.”

Director David F. Sandberg Is Done With Superhero Films
David F. Sandberg, the director of both the ‘Shazam‘ films, has said that he will not be making superhero flicks for a while. In a Twitter thread, the filmmaker talked about the sequel’s failure and his future projects.
He wrote that on Rotten Tomatoes, he “got my lowest critic score and my highest audience score on the same film I wasn’t expecting a repeat of the first movie critically but I was still a little surprised because I think it’s a good film.”
Sandberg further said that he is done with superheroes for now but does not regret making the two films. In conclusion, he said that he would like to go back to horror, which is his favorite genre.
