While the internet hailed Ryan Gosling’s reaction to ‘I’m Just A Ken’ winning the ‘Best Song’ award at the Critics Choice Awards, the moment leading up to that stung Ariana DeBose. Bella Ramsey and Anthony Ramos presented the nominees in the category.
Bella Ramsey started reading the nominees “delivered by some of the most famous voices in the industry.”
However, Bella Ramsey continued with reading, and when she called out the names of Jack Black, Ryan Gosling, and Ariana DeBose, she deemed them “actors who also think they are singers.” DeBose took offense to the joke and took to Instagram, writing, “No I didn’t find it funny. Lol.” Ariana has delivered good performances in musicals like ‘Hamilton’ and ‘Bring It On’.

Jamie Lee Curtis Slammed The Awards Ceremony
Ariana DeBose had an ally after the Critics Choice Awards humiliation. Jamie Lee Curtis came to Ariana’s defense once again. She shared an Instagram post with a video in which, after Bella Ramsey had made the joke, there were songs sung by Ariana that followed.
She wrote, “Are you f***ing kidding me! Ariana DeBose is a queen. #backthefuckoff #shutthef**kup.”
This is not the first time that Jamie Lee Curtis came to the rescue of Ariana DeBose from public humiliation. In 2023, Ariana’s BAFTA performance went viral, and people heavily criticized the rap performance.
At that time, Jamie Lee Curtis slammed the critics, saying, “I’m unclear as to what the fuck people are on about. To me it was joyous, celebratory, sisterly, hot, spicy… and she’s just so incredibly talented.”
She added, “By the time it got to me, I was into the music and I was having a great time. She’s a fantastic talent, these people should shut the f**k up, back the fuck off, and let this woman just shine her light. Because she is fantastic.”
