Fans are highly worried about Nicki Minaj’s well-being after she posted a video on her Instagram Story on Monday. The clip shows Minaj, wearing a silk turban and nightgown, talking about her 2020 childbirth experience.
Speaking tenderly to the camera, the singer says, “One day, they’re yelling ‘push’ and you’re in pain. Then one day, comes out a beautiful baby boy.” She adds, “Thank God your glory,” whispering, “Congratulations to him and my ma up there, you’re doing a great job. In case no one’s told you that, you’re doing a great job.”

The video comes just a day after she posted a cryptic update on X. The post, without any context or attachment, said, “Yes, Single.” Fans wondered if the post indicated a split from her husband, Kenneth Petty, or the release of new music, after her recent album, ‘Pink Friday 2‘.

Seeing a clearly emotional Minaj, her fans are deeply worried. Social media is trending with the hashtag “#WeLoveYouNicki” on X, with several users expressing their concerns for the rapper.
“Just saw Nicki’s IG story and now I’m worried and I don’t even know what’s up with her,” a user on X wrote. Another fan hoped for her well-being, stating, “I honestly hope she’s okay.”
A third user chimed in, stating, “I’m so worried about Nicki, I pray she’s doing ok and finds the strength to guide her through whatever it is she’s going through right now. She’ll forever have my support and love.”
The concerns also have a subtext of Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty’s relationship, which has been under public scrutiny since their marriage in 2019. The couple dated briefly as teenagers, and then reconnected in 2018.
Though they are married with a child, Petty’s criminal history has been a point of contention for Minaj;’s fans. He was convicted of attempted rape in 1995, resulting in a four-year prison sentence, and later served seven years for first-degree murder related to a 2002 shooting. He was further sentenced to house arrest and probation in 2022 for failing to register as a sex offender in California. Despite the controversies, Minaj has consistently defended her husband.
