Wedding season clearly isn’t over. Just two weeks after Taylor Swift married Travis Kelce, another familiar face from her past has officially tied the knot.
Matty Healy and model Gabbriette Bechtel have now said “I do,” wrapping up their three-year romance with a glamorous ceremony.
Matty Healy Is Officially A Married Man Now
Healy and Bechtel first landed on everyone’s radar in September 2023 after they were spotted kissing in New York City. Fans kept a close eye on the relationship from there. And less than a year later, the couple confirmed they were engaged.

Speaking to British Vogue in 2024, after moving into a home together, Bechtel gave a glimpse of the future they were already planning. “When I have kids, it’s going to be: dinner every night—no phones—to celebrate the smaller things and recognize people’s happiness,” she said.
Now, after three years, Matty Healy is off the market for good. The 1975 frontman married Gabbriette Bechtel on Saturday during an outdoor ceremony at Castillo del Lago, according to PEOPLE. Photos from the wedding looked straight out of a rom-com. Healy dipped his bride for their first kiss as husband and wife before the couple posed around the mansion.
The newlyweds definitely understood the assignment when it came to wedding style. Healy stuck with a classic black tuxedo, while Bechtel wore a white gown, a flowing veil, and an elegant half-up hairstyle. Their wedding arrived less than a year after announcing their engagement, proving they wasted no time heading down the aisle.
Taylor Swift Is Part Of The Backstory But Not The Ending
Long before wedding bells rang for Healy, his dating history had already made plenty of headlines. He was previously linked to FKA Twigs and Halsey. But his brief 2023 romance with Taylor Swift became the one everyone talked about. Their relationship began soon after Swift’s split from Joe Alwyn, and the pair were photographed together in several cities while Healy also appeared around stops on her Eras Tour.

The romance lasted only a few weeks before ending in early June. At the time, a source told PEOPLE, “She had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved.”
Even so, fans have spent the past two years connecting songs from Swift’s 2024 album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘, including “But Daddy I Love Him,” “Fresh Out The Slammer,” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” to Healy. Fans have also speculated that several songs by ‘The 1975’ reference Swift.
Even Healy’s mother, Denise Welch, weighed in after the breakup during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. She admitted she was “glad” she never became Swift’s mother-in-law before adding, “Not that I have anything against her at all. It was just — it was tricky.”
Fast forward to now, both former partners have officially started brand-new chapters.
