Taylor Swift seems to be having one of the busiest days of the year- flying from her world tour in Japan to Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl match in Vegas.
As the singer defies time zones, jet lags, and post-concert lethargy, she has still proven to be a supportive girlfriend by showing up for Kelce’s game. As Swift lands in Los Angeles, fans are pointing out why she didn’t directly go to Vegas for the game. That is because she is forbidden to meet the Chiefs’ tight end before the big game.
Why Is Swift Not Allowed To Meet Kelce Before The Game?
As Swift lands in Los Angeles, fans are curious about why she didn’t go to Kelce directly- especially after spending so many days apart. She’s currently touring in Asia and performing a 3.5-hour show known as the ‘Eras Tour.’
The reason why Swift isn’t allowed to meet Kelce before the Super Bowl is a rule the NFL has regarding players spending time with their partners before the game.
According to TMZ, “Players are NOT allowed to stay with wives/GFs the night before games—any games. …We’re hearing in its full effect this week.”
The outlet further added, “When it comes to Super Bowl Sunday, the players are basically on lockdown for the wee hours of the night.”
This means that the couple will reunite just before, or possibly after the game.

Taylor Swift Attending The Super Bowl 2024
Despite doing a 3.5-hour show in Japan, Swift has made it to America on time to watch her boyfriend play during the Super Bowl. That’s definitely some real commitment on her end, and Travis seems to appreciate it too.
A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight and said, “Travis has never felt more supported by a significant other ever. This is just the beginning for them as a couple and many milestones are coming their way. Taylor and Travis make time for each other because they want to. They both take so much pride in the importance of family and love bringing their families and close-knit circles together.”
The source further added, “They are genuine, honest, loving, and forthright with each other across the board. They both continually encourage one another to be the best that they can be.”
It was unclear earlier if Swift would make it to the game but thanks to a 17-hour time difference and her private jet, she did make it on time and will be seen supporting Travis from the $1 million suite that Travis has bought for both their families.
Tune in to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers on 11th February 2024.
