Amid all the frenzy, the 62-year-old actor seemed unfazed as he moved through the crowd. Though the situation was erratic and quite beyond control, Cruise remained professional. Afterward, he took to his official X account to share a thank-you note to the city of Paris, posting a picture with thousands of cheering fans in the background with a caption saying, “Thank you, Paris! Now off to LA.”
In the closing ceremony, they have also included a pre-recorded sequence where Cruise is seen driving by the Eiffel Tower, getting on a plane, and then skydiving over the Hollywood Hills. At the end of the stunt, the symbolic addition of three circles to the “O’s” of the Hollywood sign, symbolizing the Olympic rings, made clear Los Angeles was officially taking over as the host city for the 2028 Games.
