“We Were Young And Dumb”: ‘The Gentlemen’ Star Theo James Reveals A Shocking Gift A Date Once Left For Him In The Bath

Theo James is rocking in the new Netflix series ‘The Gentlemen’. The Guy Ritchie series has received a lot of praise from fans. And Theo James attended a recent Emmys FYC panel series moderated by Entertainment Weekly to promote his series. That is where the actor also revealed a very ‘crappy’ story.

Theo James and co-star Daniel Ings played a game of two truths and one lie where the other person has to guess which one is the lie. And during this game, James had a very interesting date story to tell.

The ‘Divergent’ actor plays the character of Edward “Eddie” Horniman in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series ‘The Gentlemen’. While promoting the series with co-star Daniel Ings, he revealed two truths and one lie about himself.

“[While at] university, I went on a date that I thought went pretty well,” James recounted. “We had some fun, and we were young and dumb and full of fun. And in the morning she had left, and there was a present for me in the bath. And it was a small turd,” said Theo James. As you can tell this is already a truth.

Apart from the date story, the 39-year-old actor also shared two more statements about himself that co-star Daniel Ings had to guess were true or false. Theo James’ next statement was, “I am related to Brian Cox. My mother is Scottish. They’re from the Isle of Sky, but actually, the last three generations grew up in Glasgow. And in a very distant way, Brian and her — and me — are related.” The actor offered his last statement as,”I’m a quarter Greek.”

Co-star Daniel Ings correctly guessed that the lie was the Brian Cox story. “Which Brian Cox, the astronomer or the actor?” Ings asks. James confirms he meant the actor, to which Ings replies, “See, if you’d gone astronomer, I would’ve bought it.” However, he did not seem to be weirded out at all by the date story.
