Amy Schumer Gives A Solid Response To Those Who Criticize Her
The fearless queen of comedy isn’t one to shy away from a verbal joust with internet critics. During a recent interview on Amanda Hirsch’s ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ podcast, the ‘Snatched’ star discussed the relentless hate thrown at her appearance lately. In a moment of vulnerability, she bared, “It doesn’t feel good when the whole internet’s mad at you. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish that on anyone if they don’t deserve it, but it’s been a long time that people have been coming for me. It’s just about how I’m feeling about myself.”
Known for her sharp tongue, Amy dismissed the trolls declaring, “I think they’re mad I’m not prettier. And that I still feel like I have a right to speak. And I think that they don’t want any woman to speak. I mean, what woman has ever opened her mouth and not been torn to shreds?” She skillfully revived the age-old struggle for acceptance in the entertainment industry.

Schumer’s Health Battles Beyond The Limelight
Beyond the internet war on her looks, Schumer also has a personal battle that she continues to fight when the camera is gone. The comic has been open about her ongoing health struggles.
In a recent Instagram post, the ‘Life & Beth’ star addressed the haters and fans together with a caption reading, “You’re right, it is puffier than normal right now.” She continued, “I have endometriosis an auto immune disease that every woman should read about. There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now but I’m okay,”
Taking the opportunity to point out how, “Historically women’s bodies have barely been studied medically compared to men,” the actress added. “I also believe a woman doesn’t need any excuse for her physical appearance and owes no explanation. But I wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for self love and acceptance of the skin you’re in.”
She concluded the powerful note with “I feel strong and beautiful and so proud of this TV show I created. Maybe just maybe we can focus on that for a little.”
