Comedian Tiffany Haddish is facing stricter action from the law authorities following her second DUI arrest. The Georgia judge presiding over Haddish’s case ordered her not to drink alcohol or consume illegal drugs, including products like CBD. The judge also said that the comedian-cum-actress would be subjected to random drug tests.
The decision came last week after her recent arrest in Los Angeles on November 24, 2023. She was found asleep at her steering wheel in a vehicle that was blocking the road. During the case, a group of prosecutors had proposed to modify Haddish’s bond conditions after the arrest.

After the judge pronounced his orders, Haddish did not oppose the request for drug testing and the alcohol restrictions. The comedian will go to trial for her Georgia arrest. The trial was initially scheduled for last week but got postponed because of some issues with her lawyer’s schedule.
In a previous incident in Georgia on January 14, 2022, Haddish was arrested on similar charges. After this case was filed, the prosecutors had requested modifications to Haddish’s bond conditions. They asked to include a provision in the bond, restricting her from consuming alcohol and a compulsion to undergo drug testing.
The court order that came during the hearing of the second arrest clearly specifies that Haddish is obligated to stay within therapeutic limits for prescription drugs and undergo a drug test panel detecting the use of general illegal drugs, including testing for alcohol metabolites.

Haddish Alleges Searches During Los Angeles Arrest Were “Unlawful”
Haddish has meanwhile alleged that the officers carried out an “unlawful search” during the Georgia arrest. She had also demanded at the time that her blood test results not be used as evidence.
The comedian’s lawyer had argued that the officers did not observe any traffic violations or less safe driving during the one-minute observation of Haddish operating her vehicle.
Her most recent DIU arrest in Los Angeles, is being reviewed by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. She currently faces a $1 million lawsuit from her ex-friend as well. The judge is yet to rule on the legality of the traffic stop in the Georgia case.
