    Tina Knowles is a proud mother, and she has made it amply clear time and again. Other than her own exceptional career, Knowles considers it a privilege to be the mother to Beyonce. In yet another nostalgic trip down memory lane, the fashion designer has shared some heartwarming anecdotes about her daughters Beyoncé, Solange, and honorary daughter Kelly Rowland.

    Knowles recently posted a video of her interview with Vogue on Instagram, where she fondly recounted her favorite memories of her “three girls.” Here’s what she said about Beyonce and her sisters.

    Speaking about Beyoncé’s childhood, Tina Knowles shared how the singing sensation was an introverted kid and has still shown some exceptional bravery. “Beyoncé, she was very shy and she got bullied a bit but the day that she stood up for someone — she didn’t stand up for herself she stood up for them,” Tina said, as her voice filled with emotion.

    I’m getting emotional talking about it. I was just, I couldn’t have been more proud of her,” she quipped. Knowles also opened up about her second daughter, Solange, as she spoke about her early activism.

    Solange, was her signing a petition in school, she was only in like fifth grade and she was out getting petitions signed,” Knowles said. “So she’s always been an activist.” Knowles also mentioned Kelly Rowland, whom she considers her third daughter. “That’s my baby,” Knowles affectionately recalled, speaking about Rowland who came to live with the Knowles family at the age of 11.

    Speaking about Rowland on the ‘Today show with Hoda & Jenna earlier this month, Tina Knowles shared a cherished memory of Rowland’s protective nature. “Kelly was always this kid that just tried to protect everybody. I have a memory of her with her best friend Barbara and her being a mediator and just being this little peacemaker,” she said.

    In the caption of her Instagram video, Knowles also wrote about the importance of recognizing and respecting each child’s unique personality. “Each child is different! But all so special. I believe kids are born with their personalities. My three girls all handled things very differently,” she wrote.

     “Learn their personalities and respect the individuality. Never compare the negatives, always praise the positive differences and pay attention to the things that you can brag on about them. They love it and it encourages positive behavior,” she added.
