Jimmy Fallon had been in troubled waters after allegations of a toxic work environment had been raised against the host. It was in an article published by Rolling Stone on September 7 that two current employees and 14 former employees had talked up against Fallon, and noted their negative experiences.
Later on, the ‘Saturday Night Live‘ alum had taken to a brief Zoom meeting, apologizing to his staff for any sort of erratic behavior. He had shared how embarrassed and bad he felt for whatever had happened. However multiple employees have come forward to defend the show’s host. Here’s more on what they have to say.
‘Tonight Show’ Staff Defends Jimmy Fallon
Amidst the accusations raised against Jimmy Fallon, multiple other employees have a different story to say. According to the Daily Mail, one of the employees said Jimmy Fallon is ‘encouraging of staff and their careers, flexible with ideas and even sends ‘handwritten notes for birthdays‘.
Another producer chipped in that the host genuinely makes the crew and the celebrities feel comfortable. He also added that the 48-year-old is ‘supportive’ and ‘collaborative’. Fallon has been trying to make a positive workplace according to these employees.
These employees also shared with Daily Mail how talkative Fallon was and added that he never ‘belittled’ or ‘snapped’ at anyone. ‘I have seen him change his mind. I have seen him stick to his guns but respect other people who disagree with him,’ they said. Another producer added how Fallon treats the crew and staff as family and the workplace as home.

NBC To Investigate The Allegations
The article published in Rolling Stone earlier detailed the toxic work environment in Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. Bullying and belittling the staff were allegations raised against the ‘Fever Pitch‘ star. In addition, the host was also pointed out to have long-standing drinking problems which also interfered with his work.
Though Jimmy Fallon has apologized to the staff in person, the channel NBC has also stated to investigate and take appropriate action. “As is always the case, we encourage employees who feel they have experienced or observed behavior inconsistent with our policies to report their concerns so that we may address them accordingly,” the statement read.
