What Does Travis Kelce’s New Contract Mean For Him?
The Kansas City Chiefs declared on Monday, April 29, that Travis Kelce has agreed to a new, two-year contract extension. He is now the highest paid tight end in the NFL. According to his contract, Kelce would make $34.3 million over the course of two years.

Chiefs shared a video of Kelce celebrating the extension with a video where he said that it’s “an honor and a pleasure and I can’t wait to get after it these next two years … Chiefs forever.”
The contract was also discussed by GM Brett Veach who lauded Kelce as a player and said, “Hard to put in words what Travis means to this organization, this city, and he was certainly a priority to adjust his contract for us and it was something that was important for Clark [Hunt]. So very fitting that Travis [is] now the highest-paid tight end in these two years.”

After the news dropped, Kelce’s friend and teammate Patrick Mahomes also took to X to shower his best wishes on Kelce, adding that he never would have let Kelce leave anyways.

Travis Kelce’s Career With The Chiefs
The Chiefs tight end has had a flourishing career with the team, particularly for having a three year Super Bowl winning streak.
Travis Kelce was chosen by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Since 2015, he’s made it to every Pro Bowl. He has amassed 907 receptions, 11,328 receiving yards, and 74 touchdowns in his 12-year career. In the last five seasons, the Chiefs have played in four Super Bowls and won three of them. During the previous season, Kelce led the Chiefs in receiving yards (984), catches (93) and targets (121). In Kansas City’s Super Bowl 58 triumph over the San Francisco 49ers.
Kelce also has the fourth-most career receiving yards of any tight end in the NFL and the most of any Chiefs player. His total touchdowns in his career rank second in the history of the team.
As for his personal life, it probably has never been better as Kelce continues his romantic journey with Taylor Swift, who he was recently seen with at the Mahomes gala night. Apart from that, he is all set to host a TV show called ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity’?.
