NFL star Travis Kelce has gone well beyond his fame as a football star, especially since he started dating pop sensation Taylor Swift. While his prowess on the football field and in Taylor’s life is amply celebrated, the Chiefs’ tight end is now gearing up for an altogether new challenge. Kelce is set to step into the world of game shows, as he has been officially confirmed to be the host of the gameshow spinoff of ‘Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?’
After his recent win at Super Bowl LVIII, the Kansas City Chiefs player will bring his charms to the exciting new game show, slated to stream on Prime Video. Kelce’s potential gig with the show was already anticipated as speculation about the same had surfaced back in March. However, it wasn’t until Tuesday that the series was officially confirmed in an announcement from the streaming platform.
Produced by MGM Alternative, a division of Amazon MGM Studios, the show will be given a twist with an alternative title ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?‘. The show is set to reach audiences across more than 240 countries and territories. The release dates of the show are yet to be confirmed. However, it is expected to be available for streaming soon.
Travis Kelce Is Excited About Bringing His Hosting Charm To The Screens
Travis Kelce, who has previously revelaed his desire to step into the entertainment industry, said he’s excited for the new venture. “I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?'” he said in a statement.
While the star is already known for his infectious energy and wit on the field as well as in his much-loved podcasts, his fans worldwide are also looking forward to seeing him on-screen. However, he is no stranger to being on screens as he has previously brought his charisma on shows like ‘Catching Kelce‘ and even earned a well-deserved spot on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
With this gig, Kelce will join the ranks of some esteemed hosts like Jeff Foxworthy and John Cena, who have hosted ‘Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?‘ in the past. The show is known for its entertaining challenges and engaging premise, and has been a favorite since a long time for audiences of all ages.
In this new rendition, ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?‘, the show will host celebrities to assist contestants in answering a range of questions. The stakes are high, with contestants vying for a chance to win a $100,000 prize.
