Matthew Perry’s death sent shockwaves across the world. The actor, who was most loved for his character on one of the most successful sitcoms- ‘Friends’, was found dead in his Los Angeles home.

Charlie Puth Sings For Matthew Perry During His Show
At his Melbourne concert, the ‘One Call Away‘ singer gave out a heartfelt performance of the song ‘I’ll Be There For You‘ from Perry’s show ‘Friends‘ as a homage to the actor. His performance was followed by teary-eyed fans joining in.
Puth played the piano while his fans sang along before he joined them with the closing line of the song, “Because you’re there for me too”.

The performance was followed by Puth singing his signature song, ‘See You Again‘ which was written by him for the ‘Furious 7‘ film as a tribute to the late actor Paul Walker.

Many celebrities came forward to express their condolences on the actor’s demise.
Maggie Wheeler, who played Perry’s on-and-off girlfriend on the show as Janice wrote, “The world will miss you Matthew Perry.”

Morgan Firchild, who played Perry’s mother on the show wrote, “I’m heartbroken about the untimely death of my “son”, Matthew Perry. The loss of such a brilliant young actor is a shock”.

Selma Blair wrote a heartfelt caption referring to Matthew as her ‘oldest boy friend’.
Paget Brewster, who played his love interest on the show wrote, “Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace though.. He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there.”

Salma Hayek wrote a long caption on Instagram dedicated to her co-star. Part of it read, “It’s taken me a couple of days to process this profound sadness. There is a special bond that happens when you share dreams with someone, and together you work towards them.”
Gwyneth Paltrow too shared her sadness and took to Instagram to dedicate a paragraph for Matthew, who she spent a ‘magical summer’ with.
