Winona Ryder revealed that she and fellow actor Keanu Reeves address each other as “husband” and “wife” in texts. In 2018, while promoting their romantic comedy, ‘Destination Wedding’, Ryder revealed that the actors might have gotten married on the sets of 1992 ‘Dracula’.
Now for the past three decades, Ryder and Keanu have continued to play pretend in jest. ‘Dracula’ was a gothic horror directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Winona and Keanu starred as Mina Harker and Jonathan Harker, who get married to each other in the film. Looking back, Winona revealed the playful relationship the actors share even now over playful text banter.
Keanu Reeves And Winona Ryder Might Be Married
In 2018, Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder were on a press tour for their romantic comedy, ‘Destination Wedding’. There, Ryder revealed that she and Reeves might be married since their 1992 ‘Dracula’.
The ‘Stanger Things‘ actor said that Coppola brought a real Romanian priest to marry Mina and Vlad. Ryder said, “We actually got married in ‘Dracula’. No, I swear to god I think we’re married in real life.”

Winona continued, “In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So, I think we’re married.”
Keanu agreed with his co-star, “We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests. Winona says we are, Coppola says we are, so I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.”

Thirty years have passed since ‘Dracula’ was released and Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves have continued to play pretend spouses on texts. Winona talking on the ‘Happy Sad Confused‘ podcast said she wishes Keanu a birthday every year and addresses him as her husband. “So like on his birthday I go: ‘Happy birthday, my husband,” she said.

Ryder revealed that Keanu also goes with his bit. “And then he’s like, ‘Hey, my wife, I love you. KR 57.” She added that the actor always similarly signs off his messages, “Like on each birthday he’s like KR 57 or whatever his age is. He’s always done that.”
Winona also said on the podcast that she is willing to work with Keanu again. “I would literally do anything though with him. Like he is so special,” she said. However, she ruled out action thrillers like ‘John Wick‘ which “involves a lot of stunts. I’m just thinking of my bones.”
