Elle Fanning Reveals ‘Disgusting’ Reason Behind Not Getting Road-Trip Comedy
During The Hollywood Reporter’s roundtable conversation, the ’20th Century Women’ actress talked about the “disgusting” reason she lost a major role in a road trip comedy. She recalled a terrible experience she faced while navigating her way as a child actor. While her team protested her from the bad news, she found out why she couldn’t book the part.
Elle Fanning confessed this to a room of other actresses for the time, ” I was trying out for a movie. I didn’t get it. I don’t even think they ever made it, but it was a father-daughter road trip comedy. I didn’t hear from my agents because they wouldn’t tell me things like this – that filtration system is really important because there’s probably a lot more damaging comments that they filtered – but this one got to me. I was 16 years old, and a person said, ‘Oh, she didn’t get the father-daughter road trip comedy because she’s unf***able.’”

Elle Fanning On Losing Roles Due To Lack Of Social Media Followers
Elle Fanning recently talked about social media’s role in landing a role. While appearing on the podcast ‘Happy Sad Confused,’ the 25-year-old actress told the host Josh Horowitz about losing parts in mainstream movies due to her low social media numbers despite having some great auditions.
