Megan Fox looked absolutely stunning in the naked dress at the MTV VMAs and in Peter Dundas’s dress at the Met Gala and seemed pretty confident in her outfit. On the contrary, Fox revealed that she suffers from serious insecurities and a condition called body dysmorphia.

Megan Fox Says She “Never, Ever” Loved Her Body
The Transformer actress revealed in a video for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuits 2023 issue that she struggles to view her body from a positive perspective. Megan Fox said, “I have body dysmorphia — I don’t ever see myself the way other people see me. There’s never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever”. Fox continued saying, “When I was little, that was an obsession I had of, like, but I should look this way. And why I had an awareness of my body that young I’m not sure, and it definitely wasn’t environmental because I grew up in a very religious environment where bodies weren’t even acknowledged.” The actress then said, “The journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending, I think”.
Megan Fox felt a lot of pressure shooting for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover. She said, “I have a vision in my head that I’m trying to achieve, so we’ll see if it pans out for me”. It was in October 2021 that Fox first spoke about her insecurities and revealed that she suffers from a condition called body dysmorphia to the British GQ.

All About Body Dysmorphia
As Megan Fox revealed she suffers from body dysmorphia, now the fans are curious to know about the mental disorder. Body Dysmorphia is a mental condition in which a person can’t stop thinking about a perceived flaw in their appearance. According to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America, people suffering from Body Dysmorphia can’t control their negative thoughts and don’t believe people who tell them that they look fine. Their thoughts may lead to severe emotional distress and interfere with their daily functioning.
The ‘Transformers‘ star discussed her mental health struggles earlier. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Megan Fox revealed that she reached a “breakpoint” after the release of ‘Jennifer’s Body‘. She realized that her body was continually sexualized in media and films. Fox said, “It wasn’t just that movie, it was every day of my life, all the time, with every project I worked on and every producer I worked with”.
