She did not step up to stop her daughter from spiraling down further instead allowed her to do as she pleases for her ‘happiness’. Who doesn’t know the Kardashians and the Jenners? But Kris Jenner has a lot of allegations and controversies when it comes to raising her daughters.
Reports also say that Kris is responsible for the leakage of Kim Kardashian’s sex tape. There have been instances when Kris has been seen controlling and manipulating her daughters. So all in all, Kris is not the best role model mother you would want.
10. Jaid Barrymore
Drew Barrymore is one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood. However, she lived a very stressful childhood with her mother Jaid. Jaid wanted the Hollywood limelight and popularity so badly that she pushed Drew into the entertainment industry as soon as she was able to be cast.
She also dragged her child to Hollywood parties and introduced her to alcohol and drugs. As a result, Drew was emancipated at 14 years of age.

After 24 years of marriage, Linda and Hulk Hogan divorced each other. However, right after this, Linda went on a wild spree. She started dating 19-year-olds and was accused of being a gold-digger and also doing drugs.
The relationship between Linda and her daughter Brooke became so strained that they have no contact now. She has also said some pretty obscene things about her daughter.

Kate Gosselin was well-known for her TLC show ‘Kate plus eight‘. Kate is the mother of twins followed by sextuplets. After the start of the reality show, the audience was hooked thanks to the cute babies. But little did we know about the horrors behind the doors.
When Kate sent her son Collin to a treatment facility, the truth started to come out. A Child Protective Service investigation was also held. Reportedly she used to spank her kids on top of being a control freak.

Britney Spears‘ fall from stardom was painful to watch. She got caught up in drugs, alcohol and suffered from mental health problems. Spears also lost custody of her children to their father and spent time on a psychiatric hold.
However, the good news is that Britney has recovered and gained joint custody of the children. She corrected her mistakes and now is trying to be the best mother to her children.

If you thought eight kids were too much, Michelle Duggar has 19 kids. She did gain a lot of popularity thanks to her TLC show but the truth is much worse.
The Duggars could not take care of so many kids. So when one of the newborns was weaned off, they were given to a buddy-one of the older kids. They would take full responsibility for the kid. Thus Michelle completely ignored taking responsibility for her kids. Moreover, she allowed Josh to sexually assault his sisters and tried to push down the news. She sent Josh to a church camp and that was all.

The ‘Terms of Endearment‘ actress Shirley MacLaine may be an excellent performer but she is also a terrible mother.
Sachi Parker, her daughter, released some stories from her childhood in her memoir that truly point out how horrible her mother was. Shirley remained absent from Sachi’s life for most of her childhood. She also encouraged Sachi to lose her virginity at 17. And then made her discuss it with sex therapists and her best friends.

She started off by spreading awareness about autism that her son suffered from. But McCarthy took a completely different lane and started blaming vaccination for the cause of his autism. She also compared autism to a fart. Jenny spread a lot of negative and dangerously false facts about vaccination and autism on social media.

Delaney is known for various roles in movies and television series. However, she failed to get any awards when it comes to motherhood. Her son Jack, as a 15-year-old, stood in court to testify how his intoxicated mother came to pick him up from a friend’s house.
This led to her losing custody of her son. But when your teenage son has to stand in court and speak about his feelings, you do fail as a mother pretty badly.
2. Joan Crawford
In Christina Crawford’s book ‘Mommy Dearest‘, we get to know about the horror that her childhood had been. Allegations against Joan Crawford include beating the children with hangers, tying them up and even denying them food.
However, no one knows if these allegations are true or not since two of her children denied them and the other two made the allegations.
