Pascal opened up about the less glamorous side of building a career. Reflecting on the people who helped him along the way, Pascal explained, “There isn’t any way I would be here were it not for the generosity of others who have been there for me.”

His perspective goes beyond simply accepting hardship as part of the Hollywood journey. He believes the challenges people face can influence how they treat others. “That’s part of it. It’s a huge part of it for me, because it forms character,” he said.

His attitude feels fitting for an actor whose career has included years of smaller roles before becoming a household name through projects like ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘The Last of Us’. Rather than forgetting the people who supported him when opportunities were scarce, Pascal sees them as an essential part of his success. “I owe it to all the people in my life. I wouldn’t know where to begin.”

Pascal’s willingness to embrace difficult experiences is also evident in his upcoming film ‘Behemoth!’, directed by Tony Gilroy. The actor plays a talented cellist returning to Los Angeles after nearly two decades of touring, a role that required him to convincingly learn an instrument.

At the London Film Festival premiere, Pascal admitted the challenge frightened him more than any previous project. “I would choose fighting The Mountain in ‘Game of Thrones’ over learning how to play the cello convincingly,” he joked.

The experience also deepened his appreciation for the instrument and the musicians behind film scores. Pascal’s message is simple: success may require uncomfortable sacrifices, but the people who help you through those difficult moments matter.
