Harrison Ford Joins The Cast Of ‘Captain America 4’
Ford has been a part of several iconic franchises in his decades-long career. This includes the ‘Indian Jones‘, and ‘Star Wars‘ among others. He will soon join another popular franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ford is set to join the cast of ‘Captain America: New World Order.’ He will take on the role of General Ross, which was previously played by late actor William Hurt.
The film, which will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, will be directed by Julius Onah. It will take place after the events of the Marvel Disney+ series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’
Apart from the fourth Captain America film, Ford will also play Ross in ‘Thunderbolts’, a film about the titular team of supervillains. Directed by Jake Schreier, this film is slated to release on July 26, 2024.
The Leader Will Be The Main Villain Of ‘Captain America: New World Order’
At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel chief Kevin Feige announced that Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson will lead ‘Captain America: New World Order’.
Tim Blake Nelson will be playing The Leader, the main villain of the film. He can be described as Hulk’s arch-nemesis since both of them have acquired their powers through gamma radiation and exposure.
The Leader has an exponentially intelligent mind and an oversized head. Nelson has previously appeared in the 2008 film ‘The Incredible Hulk’ as The Leader.
‘Captain America: New World Order’ is scheduled to release in May 2024. The exact release date hasn’t been announced.
