The talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has had quite the spotlight starting this year. Amidst the Jeffrey Epstein drama, the late-night talk show host himself became the late-night talk topic. And the newfound interest in the 52-year-old comedian’s personal life is making people wonder who his wife, Molly McNearney, is.
So far, the swooning factor of Jimmy and Molly’s love story comes from their office (set) romance. Even though the couple met at work, they were dating different people at the time. They didn’t start dating until after six years of meeting, but when they did, they knew this was it.
Molly McNearney Is Executive Producer Of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’
Molly McNearney works as the writer and executive producer for Jimmy Kimmel Live. She has shared that she started as the only female writer on the team. Now, the co-head writer and producer has worked on big projects like the Primetime Emmy Awards. In March 2023, she also executive produced the 95th annual Academy Awards, hosted by her husband, Jimmy Kimmel.
Molly works behind the scenes, but being the wife of your boss has some perks. McNearney herself makes occasional appearances on her husband’s prime-time show when necessary. When she does not, Jimmy shows his appreciation for the wife by mentioning her between his segments.

Jimmy And Molly: A Hallmark Office Love Story
Molly and Jimmy started dating back in 2010, after the wrap-up of yet another late-night show. Molly revealed in an interview that it was the moment he cooked a meal for her that she knew she had found the one. The statements seem true following their 2013 wedding on July 13, 2013, in Ojai, California.
The celebrity wedding, of course, was graced by stars like Jennifer Aniston, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, etc. The pair asked their celebrity guests to make a charitable contribution in place of gifts.
Molly never hesitates to find humor in things, which probably comes from her writing a comedy show. After giving birth to her daughter, the new mother tweeted, “Kids, don’t do drugs. Until you have a baby. Then do all of them.”
The couple now has two children – daughter Jane and son Billy, who was born with a congenital heart condition. McNearney, candid about her son Billy’s health, shared on Anna Faris’ podcast ‘Unqualified’, that “Kids are so resilient—he had open-heart surgery on a Monday, and we were home on Friday.”
When Jimmy Kimmel emotionally addressed Billy’s surgery upon his return to work, McNearney reflected, “There I am, in my living room breastfeeding Billy with my mom beside me, and we’re watching. I sobbed through the entire thing. I couldn’t believe the strength it took to tell that story a week after it happened. He didn’t have to do that.”
The couple has been going strong for a decade and seem to be in much love.
