While not much is known about her childhood, it’s been reported that she was raised by her Italian grandmother after her parents divorced. Luciana is a former air hostess. Lucy was previously married to a man named Arbello Barroso. He is the biological father of her child Alexia.

“I couldn’t possibly have asked for a better stepfather for my daughter than Matt. He treats Alexia like she is his own flesh and blood,” Arbello told Star Magazine in 2014. Lucy is currently a mother of four children – Isabella, Gia, and Stella are the kids she had with Matt, and Alexia Barroso, whom she shares with ex-husband Arbello Barroso.

How Did Matt Damon Meet His Wife?

Damon and Barroso met for the first time in Miami when she was working as a bartender. “I was working as a bartender in South Beach (Miami) and he was shooting a movie there and the crew ended up in the bar one Saturday night,” she told Vogue Australia in 2018. Matt’s version of the story is a tad bit more romantic though. He told Ellen Degeneres that it was “Love at first sight.”

After they met in the club they soon developed a connection and became friends. Barroso said, “We definitely had a connection right away, it was so easy to talk to each other we were very comfortable [with each other], and by the end of the night he invited me to go out with his friends. But I was like: ‘I can’t, I have a four-year-old daughter, I’m not going anywhere’… and that was one of the things he loved, that I had a daughter.” To this, Matt replied, “I love that you’re a mum and that’s your priority.”

After just two years of dating, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso decided to marry in 2005 in a small ceremony in Manhattan. After eight years of their intimate wedding, the couple renewed their wedding vows at an upscale resort on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. There were some big celebrity appearances as guests, including Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, Jennifer Garner, and Don Cheadle.
