Who Is Taylor Swift’s Brother, Austin Swift? What does He Do For A Living?

Austin Swift, the lesser-known but equally gifted Swift, was born on March 11, 1992, to Andrea and Scott Swift. Austin, who grew up on his family’s Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania with his Grammy-winning sister Taylor Swift, found consolation in the world of cinema as Taylor’s musical career grew.

When Austin moved to Nashville at the age of nine to support his sister’s budding music career, he discovered his true passion for filmmaking. Despite initial doubts about acting, Austin pursued it at the University of Notre Dame, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in film studies in 2015. His cinematic trajectory was not solely a result of familial influence but also a personal decision motivated by his passion for storytelling on film.

Austin, just like his sister, struggled with making friends during his early high school years, as he told Vanity Fair in an interview in 2017. Weighing 250 pounds in an American high school leaves you with few acquaintances.

He sought the missing friendships in the movie theater’s dimly lit hallways, connecting with on-screen personalities such as Daniel Craig, Christian Bale, Clive Owen, and Viggo Mortensen. Austin’s passion for film culture became a defining component of his personality, bringing him to the University of Notre Dame, where he sharpened his cinematic skills with a bachelor’s degree in film studies, graduating in 2015.

Austin’s on-screen repertory grew with subsequent performances with A-listers like Ben Affleck and Zoe Saldana in Live by Night, as well as television appearances in Embeds and Still the King.

However, Austin’s talents extend beyond acting, he played an important part behind the scenes in Taylor’s productions. As an executive producer for her Disney+ documentary ‘Folklore: The Long Pond Sessions’ and the music video ‘I Bet You Think About Me’.
