Who Is Kasi Bennett?
Usain Bolt kept his relationship with his girlfriend Kasi Bennett a secret for a long time. But the runner has not been shying away from showcasing his love for him ever since they made their relationship public. In a 2016 interview with People, Bolt said of his girlfriend, “She’s happy, I’m happy! I want to have what my parents have. I want to take my time to make sure everything is perfect.”
Kasi Bennett hails from Jamaica, which is also Usain Bolt’s native place. The couple has often shared their island culture celebrations, including Carnival, on social media. Their love story went public during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro when Bennett was spotted supporting Bolt as he sprinted to victory.
In a 2016 profile with Jamaican journalist Ian Boyne, Bolt had described Bennet as an “uptown Jamaica girl” without revealing her identity. He also talked about the reason he kept her hidden from the media limelight during the same interview.
“I have explained to her that when it comes out, it’s not going to be as she thinks it’s going to be,” he told Boyne while Bennett’s identity was still a mystery. “A lot of people will try to attack her, so I tell her to just take it easy and let’s make sure that you’re ready for this,” he said.
“I don’t definitely hide … but we don’t try to put it out in the media like ‘here she is’ because I personally know what’s going to happen,” he added.

Usain Bolt And Kasi Bennett Share A Wonderful Trio Of Kids
While they seemingly mutually decided to get their relationship in the public eye, the bond they share has grown into a full-fledged family. The couple now shares three adorable children, including a daughter named Olympia Lightning Bolt, born in 2020, and twin sons, Thunder Bolt and Saint Leo Bolt, born in 2021.
Though the two have been no exceptions to the struggles of parenthood that everyone faces, Bolt has said he is committed to having three kids. He also has often jokingly acknowledged how it can get chaotic to raise a trio.
“I’ve always said I want three kids,” Bolt said during the same interview. “The other day I hung out with my buddy who has three kids and it was crazy. I was like ‘Hmmmm do I really want 3 kids?’ But yes, yes I do. I’m sure of it,” he said.
Bolt announced their pregnancy in January 2020. During an interview, he had admitted he was nervous about being a dad while praising his girlfriend for handling things pretty well. “My girlfriend is really excited, she’s excited to be pregnant,” he said at the time. “And I’m like, ‘What am I going to do, I’m about to be a dad.’ You know? I’m that guy.”
The arrival of their first child, Olympia Lightning Bolt, in May 2020 marked the beginning of their parenthood. Bolt’s wife Bennett had then taken to Instagram to share some adorable photos of their newborn. The family further expanded in 2021 when Bennett gave birth to twin boys, Saint Leo Bolt and Thunder Bolt.
