Mimi Parker was the vocalist and drummer of the acclaimed indie rock band Low. She formed the band in 1993 along with her husband Alan Sparhawk.
The two were the consistent members of the band, although additional players were exchanged throughout the years. In its long history, the band worked with several celebrated producers.
This includes Steve Albini, Dave Fridmann, and Kramer, who produced the band’s much-loved debut record ‘I Could Live In Hope‘ in 1994.
In 2004, they released ‘The Great Destroyer’, their first record under Sub Pop, which has remained their home label to date. Last year, Parker and Sparhawk released their first album as a sole duo titled ‘Hey What,’ produced by BJ Burton, who also handled the band’s 2018 record ‘Double Negative.’
