Evan Peters and Emma Roberts sure looked like a fairytale couple but couldn’t get their happy ending. The two started dating in the summer of 2012. After being deeply in love and almost inseparable for two years, the duo got engaged in January 2014.
“You’re at the set and you’re in a city that you don’t really know that well. It’s nice to have your best friend there to go to dinner with and check out the city,” claimed Peters in 2014. Sadly the two couldn’t work it out and called off their engagement in 2015 and although they got back together, it wasn’t for good. How Did Evan Peters And Emma Roberts Meet?
Emma Roberts and Evan Peters met on the ‘Chelsea Lately‘ set. The romance wasn’t exactly “love at first sight” though. At the start, Peters wasn’t interested in Emma at all however Emma admitted to having a crush on him. “Everyone thought we dated on the movie and we didn’t — not for a long time after,” the actress revealed, adding, “I actually, on the set, was like, ‘Oh yeah, we’re totally gonna date.’ And I would, like, flirt with him, which ended up looking like I had something in my eye because I’d be like, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ And he literally didn’t speak to me the entire movie. He thought I was so weird.”
He kind of thought of her as “crazy”. Their first encounter however happened on the set of their movie, ‘Adult World‘. “He literally didn’t speak to me the entire movie. He thought I was so weird. Why did he think the usually poised and composed Roberts was so odd? “I had no makeup, it looks like I cut my own hair off, so I was not exactly looking cute,” explained Roberts. They finally began dating during the shooting of the third season of ‘American Horror Story‘. We can say they had a love-hate relationship from the start.

Why Did The Couple Split Up?
The duo always had a very bumpy relationship over the years. In 2013 Emma was arrested in a domestic violence case in Montreal, Canada. However, she was released pretty soon. It was certainly a rough patch and there were many more such incidents. “It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding, Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple is working together to move past it,” her team’s statement read.
The pair finally realized that they were toxic to each other and broke up for good. It was a mutual decision and there was no hate or violence involved. The statement about their break-up read, “Emma and Evan were heading for a split and now are just friends. Evan has moved out. It wasn’t a bad breakup.”
