Eva Mendes On Why She Quit Acting
Eva Mendes last appeared in the 2014 fantasy thriller film ‘Lost River.’ She has since distanced herself from acting and is enjoying motherhood.
In a recent interview with Variety, the ‘Once Upon a Time in Mexico’ actress talked about quitting acting. “I don’t really miss it,” she said.
“I got tired fighting for the good roles,” Mendes added. “There just was a point where I thought, ‘I’m going to create my own opportunities and become a producer on things and create my own material,’ but it just didn’t feel worth it to me.” Eva began her relationship with Ryan Gosling and the couple has two daughters, Esmeralda and Amanda. “I thought, ‘Oh, this is what I’m supposed to do right now,’ she said.
Mendes further added: “There are more opportunities for Latina actresses now, but when I bowed out 10 years ago I wasn’t being offered things that weren’t specifically Latina. It is exciting that things are different now, so who knows what I will do in the future. But right now, I’m keeping it in the home with my kids.”

Ryan Gosling Reveals What Eva Thinks Of His ‘Barbie’ Look
A few months ago, the first look of Ryan Gosling as Ken from Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie‘ was released. It nearly broke the internet as the look became the talk of the town.
While promoting ‘The Gray Man‘, the Canadian actor talked about what his partner, Eva Mendes, thinks about the unique Ken doll look.
“She’s been very supportive,” the ‘Drive‘ star answered. “She’s supporting my Kenergy. She started a hashtag, That’s My Ken, which meant a lot to me”.
Both met on the sets of ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’ in 2011 and started dating afterward. The couple has two daughters and likes to keep their private life under wraps.
