Trouble in the palace! Meghan Markle‘s relations with the royal family and King Charles have been really more than just strained lately. With the date of Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare‘ approaching its release, along with Harry and Markle’s Netflix documentary, there is only dramatic tension around in the royal atmosphere.

The Royal Family Is Not Pleased With Meghan Markle
So here is the deal, the royal family is not exactly happy about Meghan speaking candidly about her experiences during various interviews with The Cut and Variety. During an interview with Us Weekly, the royal expert and author Christopher Andersen said about the royal family, “Oh, I think they pay attention.”
During Meghan’s wedding, it might have seemed like she shared a really amazing bond with her father-in-law Charles, but the relationship has seem to have taken a hit for a number of reasons. Charles is especially feeling “hurtful” because of Markle’s public statements.

King Charles Feels Betrayed
Christopher Andersen in his book ‘The King: The Life of Charles III‘ which is releasing this November, told that Charles is not as used to handling Megan’s outspoken ways as the rest of the royal family. “I don’t think it threw her as much as it has thrown at Charles, and understandably so, because this is his son and the daughter-in-law who … [have] said some pretty hurtful things,” he said.
Anderson also opened up about how Charles is really fond of her daughter-in-law. Apart from being concerned about her, he also feels betrayed and bewildered. “I think — as far as Charles is concerned, specifically — you know, he feels betrayed,” he said. “I mean, he really was very fond of her. And I think he’s somewhat bewildered.“
