Valerie Bertinelli is an American actress and producer, best known for her roles in ‘Boston Legal’ and ‘One Day At A Time.’ She had been married to financial planner Tom Vitale for almost 11 years. The couple got married back in 2011, however, things seem to have taken a downside in their marriage, as they have been recently divorced.
The ‘Valerie’s Cooking Show’ host announced in a video uploaded on Twitter on November 22, that she and Tom have officially finalized their divorce. The couple filed for divorce in 2021, and has finally reached a settlement as of November 2022.

Why Valerie Bertinelli Divorced Tom Vitale?
As she uploaded a video on Twitter announcing her divorce, Bertinelli is seen saying that she received a call from her lawyer informing that the papers were signed. She further says, “On 11/22/22, I am officially f—- divorced. Happily divorced. God, finally. Its finally over.” She ended the video by chuckling enthusiastically with a “Yes!”
Before filing for the divorce, Valerie Bertinelli had filed for a legal separation citing “irreconcilable differences,” as mentioned in Today. However, in May 2021, she filed for an official divorce. She stated in the court papers that they had actually been separated since 2019.

What All Agreements Did The Divorce Settlement Include?
As written in the US Weekly, the food network star, Valerie Bertinelli, was ordered by court to pay a settlement of $2.2 million to ex husband Tom Vitale. According to the agreement, Vitale has to move out from Bertinelli’s California home by December 31 of this year, in order to receive the payment.
However, if Bertinelli refused to pay the amount, Vitale has the rights to continue staying in the mansion without paying any rent. The agreement also states that if Vitale decides to reside in their L.A. residence, then he has to pay $50,000 in rent to the ‘Sydney’ alum.
