‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, the sequel to one of the biggest motion pictures ever made, will be released in December 2022. The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe SaldaƱa, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, and others. The first film in the franchise gave the actress Zoe SaldaƱa an acceleration to her career.

The actress is doing great at box office and OTT. In October 2022, she starred in the Netflix film ‘From Scratch’ based on the New York Times bestseller directed by Nzingha Stewart. The year 2022 kept the star busy and now at the end of the year, she will reprise her role as Neytiri. Despite starring in successful franchises like Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Pirates of the Caribbean, she feels fatigued working in these franchises.

She said, “I feel that for the last 10 years of my life, I’ve been just stuck. I felt stuck doing these franchises. I’m very grateful for the opportunities that they provided, from collaborating with amazing directors and getting to meet cast members that I consider friends and getting to play a role that fans, especially children, love”.

The actress continued, “But it also meant that I felt artistically stuck in my craft of not being able to expand or grow or challenge myself by playing different sorts of genres and different roles”.

Currently, the actress is doing a press tour for the most anticipated sequel to a legendary franchise. The trailer and teaser already created a lot of buzz around the film. The sequel will entail the difficulties Jay and Neytiri endure to keep the clan safe even if it means fighting the toughest battles. The franchise will have four more sequels. But, as the date for the second installment is inching, Zoe felt that they will never see the dawn of its release and now it is here a few days away from its release date.

She said,” ‘Avatar’, itā€™s just my baby. Itā€™s everybodyā€™s baby. And to see this baby now being a teenager, like a young adult and getting to share it with the world is justā€¦I felt like this day would never come and itā€™s finally here”.

SaldaƱa feels that the rejuvenation of the franchise is exciting, but she adds, “Look, Iā€™m not aiming to get the same results that we got in the first one because that was a surprise. That was a wonderful surprise. We were not expecting it. And the reception was just imaginably beautiful.”

The actress continued, “Obviously, Iā€™m hoping for ‘Avatar 2: The Way of Water’ to have a very beautiful impact on people. But itā€™s not for the sake of breaking any records or making a ton of money. I think this saga is special. It was made with a lot of love and a lot of work. And itā€™s an experience worth having”.
