Kanye West seems to be on the verge of tarnishing his own legacy. Recently, the ‘Donda‘ rapper has been in the news for his anti-semitic tweets. Several people have called out the musician for his comments and a lot of brands are planning to distance themselves from him.
Amidst the controversies, the 45-year-old has reportedly hired Johnny Depp’s defamation trial attorney Camille Vasquez. West, who is officially known as Ye, either is facing charges or Camille might oversee his and his company’s legal problems. Let’s find out why she’s been hired.
Kanye West Hired Johnny Depp’s Defamation Trial Attorney
Ye is neck-deep these days in controversies sparked by his anti-Semitic tweets and his subsequent interviews. The rapper has been widely criticized for his problematic behavior.
Now, according to TMZ, West has hired Camille Vasquez, one of the attorneys who helped Johnny Depp win his infamous defamation trial against Amber Heard.
The Los-Angeles based lawyer and her firm, Brown Rudnick, will oversee all of West’s business matters, including contracts and deals.
Vasquez was praised by people for her cross-examination of Heard and her firm was eventually made a partner after the trial.

Balenciaga Cuts Ties With Ye
Ever since Ye made those anti-semitic tweets, companies have been considering distancing themselves from the ‘Jesus Walks‘ rapper. Earlier this month, Adidas said that their deal with him was under review.
Now, Balenciaga has officially cut all ties with the rapper. They stated, “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.”
The rapper had recently fueled the fire by saying that George Floyd died because of a drug overdose and not police brutality. This led to Floyd’s family suing him for millions of dollars.
Earlier, Ye showed up wearing a ‘white lives matter‘ shirt at the Paris Fashion Week and then went on to make anti-semitic tweets. Some of his friends have stated that the musician might be going through a severe psychiatric episode.
