In 2022, the world witnessed the crumbling empire of Kanye West and the brand he built over the years. Kanye West, also known as Ye, has been an influential figure in popular culture for a long period, but he has also time and again tried to harm his status with erratic behavior. But, in 2022, the artist reached the zenith of his problematic public episodes. It all began with ‘White Lives Matter’ shirts on the Paris Fashion Week runway, and then he mocked the Jews. The last nail in the coffin was when all the major industry players cut ties with him and his brand.
However, Ye did not let it deter him from his goals. In November 2022, after attacking Jews and the African American community, he announced his candidacy for the 2024 Presidential elections. In 2020, he also registered himself to run for office, but the experiment failed miserably. However, he was hopeful this time as he was aiming to have Donald Trump as his “running mate.” But, after the failed and highly publicized Mar-a-Lago meeting with the former president, he decided to run independently. Nevertheless, the decision backfired, leading to nationwide condemnation of the artist. After the failed PR stunt, is the ‘Donda’ singer still running for the presidential elections in 2024?

Kanye West Wants To Focus On His Family And The Donda Academy
Kanye West faced the brunt of displaying problematic behavior, affecting his brand as an impeccable rapper, producer, and entrepreneur. After his anti-Semitism and hateful spree against Jews, many industry biggies like Adidas and Balenciaga severed ties with the ‘Jesus Walks’ artiste.
But, instead of undoing the wrong, he perpetuated to display hatred while building his 2024 election campaign. Due to this, Kanye was banned from all the major social media platforms.
Now, four months after the episode, Adam Camacho, a documentary producer, has come forward to talk about the status of Ye’s candidacy. West hired Adam to produce a documentary about him in November 2022. But, the deal did not go through. Recently, he spoke with The Daily Beast about the conversations he had with the Yeezy owner.
Adam told the news outlet that Kanye’s focus has now shifted. Kanye told Adam, “Right now, I am living my life – like I’m concentrating on the school, The Donda Academy, and my new wife, and my kids, and that’s it. I just want to be left alone.”
A Yeezy employee also weighed in about the status of the rapper’s political career. As per the publication, the employee said, “His interests are focused on his children, family, and creative endeavors… Anyone that is representing Ye in any political capacity is a charlatan. There is no political shop.”

Former Teachers At The Donda Academy Has Filed A Lawsuit Against The School
In 2022, Kanye West introduced another controversial, academic endeavor in the form of a school named the Donda Academy. It is a faith-based school in Chatsworth. On paper, it is a normal school, but it came under fire due to many loopholes, including the qualifications of the school’s principal. There is a Non-Declaration Agreement (NDA) that the parents have to sign before admitting their wards.
However, recently, two former teachers at the Donda Academy, Cecilia Hailey, and Chekarey Byers, have filed a lawsuit. The two teachers have filed a lawsuit against Ye’s institution in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging health violations, bullying instances, and nonpayment of the dues.
Cecilia Hailey has complained about unlawful educational practices happening on the premises. She also alleged that there are many unattended bullying episodes. There are strict dietary rules that need to be followed, including no outside food. The students had to eat sushi for lunch. The teachers also complained about the non-availability of furniture for the students.
