The whole ‘Kyga’ episode started at Kendall Jenner’s 16th birthday party. When Tyga was just starting to gain traction for his music, he performed at Kendall’s birthday. At the time, Kylie Jenner was just 14 years old. The rapper even appeared on the Kardashian-Jenner reality show, where the business mogul was seen flirting with him. During that time, Tyga was with Blac Chyna, with whom he welcomed their first child, King Cairo, in 2012.

But, in 2014, Kylie and Tyga started appearing on each other’s Instagram. The ‘Legendary’ rapper denied the dating rumors, stating that he has been just friends with the “family forever.” They started making appearances together. But when Chyna’s friend Amber Rose blasted Tyga on a radio show, the age gap became prominent. At ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Rose said, “Tyga should be ashamed of himself.” She continued, “For sure. He has a beautiful woman and a baby and left that for a 16-year-old who just turned 17.”

Khloé Kardashian came in defense of her younger sister, stating that Kylie dating a 25-year-old is a “special case.” She said, “Kylie is not a normal 17-year-old. You’re not gonna say, ‘Hey, so what are you doing this weekend?’ and have her say, ‘Having a slumber party at my girlfriend’s’ or ‘Going to prom.’ That’s not what Kylie does.”

The ‘Good American’ mogul continued, “Kylie is taking business meetings and bought her first house, or she’s going on a private plane with Karl Lagerfeld to take a meeting. That’s not even what people do in their 30s. It’s a rare circumstance, so let’s treat this as a special case.”
