The satirical comedy tour de force Sacha Baron Cohen has left us in stitches with his portrayal of Borat. The British actor has graced the screen in many light-hearted and comical roles. One of his signature and most successful projects have been the ‘Borat’ series and ‘The Dictator’. He has always branded himself as a comical actor, but we may see him in a dark, twisted role.
The new Disney+ series ‘Ironheart’ was announced in 2020 at Disney Investor Day. It was a replacement for Iron Man after the tragic aftermath of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. The series will be a part of Phase V of the MCU. It is slated to release in 2023 and reportedly, this RiRi Williams-led series may have Sacha Baron Cohen as an antagonist.

Sacha Baron Cohen May Appear As Mephisto In Ironheart
The speculations are growing stronger that the ‘Borat’ star may appear as a villain in the MCU making his Marvel debut. As per reports, the makers are considering Cohen for the anti-hero role of Mephisto in the upcoming Disney+ series. Earlier, it was speculated that the character will make its debut in the ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, ‘Agatha: Coven Of Chaos’.
Mephisto first appeared in the comics in 1968’s The Silver Surfer #3. The antagonist has had a history of being the worst adversary of superheroes like Spider-Man, who had to call off his marriage with Mary Jane to restore his aunt’s health due to Mephisto. He lost his power and was destroyed, but he was resurrected with the lost pieces of the essence, which he got back along with his strengths. The villain was responsible for destroying Scarlet Witch’s twins after retaining the power.

What Is Ironheart About?
The Ironheart is reportedly marketed as a replacement for the most coveted superhero on the earth ‘IronMan’. It follows a story of a 15-year-old RiRi Williams, who utilizes her intellect and technological advancement at MIT to uproot the corruption in South Shore, Chicago. Like Ironman, she also creates her Iron suit. There are many parallels to the story of Ironman and Ironheart, but due to cinematic differences, they both will not appear on the screen together. However, we can expect some A.I. plots.
Ironheart stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams. The cast also includes Anthony Ramos, Manny Montana, Shakira Barrera, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Shea Couleé, and Zoe Terakes. There will be two directors, Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes helming the series with ‘Black Panther 2’ director Ryan Coogler as an EP.
