Rebecca Ferguson and Timothée Chalamet played our favorite mother-son duo in ‘Dune‘ and fans fell absolutely in love with their on-screen chemistry. Though Ferguson is mostly known for her role in ‘Mission Impossible’, her role as Lady Jessica managed to capture the hearts of many.
While shooting together, both the actors developed a close friendship, something that led to a huge confusion for Ferguson’s daughter. Here’s a hilarious story on how her daughter mistook Chalamet as her father.
Rebecca Ferguson’s Daughter Thought Timothèe Chalamet Was Her Father
Though not much about her husband is known, Rebecca Ferguson is happily married to her husband Rory and has two children, one of who she shares with her husband.
In a rather confusing turn of events, the actress revealed how her 6-year-old daughter thought Chalamet is her father.
The actress revealed a little Valentine’s Day anecdote and said, “So it’s Valentine’s Day. And my daughter is in a shop with my husband. She goes up to a card and she goes, ‘This is perfect for mummy’. It is a picture of Timothee, who she thought was her dad, because it looks like my husband. And it says, ‘Will you, Wonka my Willy.’ But she doesn’t get it. It’s like, it’s like ‘Oh, it’s Willy Wonka, my willy dad’.”
Fans pointed out the similarities between the two men as well.

Rebecca Ferguson And Timothèe Chalamet In ‘Dune 2’
Timothèe Chalamet plays Paul Atreides in the film, a role that has garnered a lot of praise his way. Rebecca Ferguson plays his mother, Lady Jessica.
Talking about the role, the actress has said, “She’s a mother, she’s a concubine, she’s a soldier. Denis was very respectful of Frank’s work in the book, [but] the quality of the arcs for much of the women have been brought up to a new level. There were some shifts he did, and they are beautifully portrayed now.”
Chalamet stated, “All of us should be so lucky, not like Paul who lives a hard life, but in our own lives to evolve and live many chapters but as the same person. So this is very much Paul Atreides, but not the boyish figure we saw at the beginning of the first one,” he said. “This is a young man stepping into his role amongst the Fremen people and then beyond that – stepping into a leadership role that he’s not necessarily keen on but called to and steps into.”
Adding, he said, “This is very much a cautionary tale. Which isn’t obvious because perhaps when you think sci-fi, or you think popular story, we think of the obvious figures of hero and villain; you wouldn’t necessarily think there’s a central figure that’s something of a hero, but what’s called of him is villainous. I think this movie walks that line very, very carefully and closely.”
