Please don't like or share this. You may not have stared in an expensive HBO comic book movie that just got cancelled, but I'm willing to bet some of your friends stared in an expensive HBO comic book movie that just got cancelled, and you liking this will make them feel bad.

Warner Bros. Shelves DC Film ‘Batgirl’
Warner Bros recently shelved their $90 million project, a solo ‘Batgirl’. Starring Leslie Grace, the film was supposed to arrive on HBO Max this year.
This unexpected move is attributed to a leadership change in the studio as Warner Bros. Discovery has hired a new CEO, David Zaslav. According to The Hollywood Reporter, David is prioritizing cost-cutting measures and focusing on making theatrical films rather than projects for streaming services.
Batgirl had a production budget of nearly $80 million, but the cost ballooned to nearly $90 million due to COVID-19 protocols. The film did an audience test screening where it scored in the low 60s. But sources say this cannot be a reason to shelve a film forever.
The move has since received widespread criticism from fans. It also led DC Films president Walter Hamada to exit the studio. But he has now agreed to stay at least until the release of Black Adam.
