‘Superman: Legacy‘ has waged a new war, Skarsgård versus Skarsgård! The new bosses of the DC Universe, James Gunn, and Peter Sarfan announced their ambitious plan to reboot the studio’s valuable characters. As ‘The Flash‘ disappointed the fans with the abandonment of Henry Cavill’s character, ‘Superman: Legacy’ will be no less than redemption for Gunn.
As disappointed as the fans were upon the dismissal of Cavill, they are now excited to know which actor will be wearing the cape of Superman. Along with that DC fans are also curious as to which actor will be playing the role of Lex Luthor, the famous antagonist.

Who Will Be Playing Lex Luthor In ‘Superman: Legacy’?
Lex Luthor is the most famous villain in the DC comics. According to the Hollywood Reporter, along with the cast for ‘Superman and Lois‘, the candidate for Lex Luthor has also been narrowed down. Among the other named candidates, brothers Alexander and Bill Skarsgård will preferably play the role of the antagonist.
Bill Skarsgård has already been a part of superhero movies, including playing Zeitgeist in ‘Deadpool 2‘ and Kros in ‘Eternals‘. Adding on, he already has ties with Warner Bros. from playing Pennywise in the ‘IT‘ franchise and will also play Eric Draven in ‘The Crow‘ reboot. Although Alexander has not starred in any superhero movies, he also has been a part of Warner Bros. with movies like ‘The Legend of Tarzan‘ and ‘Godzilla vs. Kong‘.

Casting Updates
Reports reveal that Emma Mackey, Phoebe Dynevor, and Rachel Brosnahan are all shortlisted for the role of Lois Lane, Superman’s love interest in ‘Superman: Legacy‘. As for Clark Kent, James Gunn has narrowed it down to three actors – Nicholas Hoult, Tom Brittney, and David Corenswet.
However, the decision is yet to be made on Superman and Lois as they are the priority added the source to THR. The search for Superman is a complex one, as James Gunn wants to bring back the basic version – someone who is able to play the part of a Kansan farmboy, a reporter as well as the Man of Steel.
