While on the HappySadPodcast, Bill Skarsgård shared that he has spoken to director Andy Muschietti about the upcoming DCU movie ‘The Brave and the Bold’. The actor made it clear that he is very much interested in portraying iconic comic book roles.

While Skarsgard confirmed that he had Muschietti, he stopped short of confirming any specific role. “I’ve talked to Andy, but I’m not sure where he’s at with it,” Skarsgard said. Muschietti is set to helm the upcoming Batman project under James Gunn‘s newly minted DC Universe. Moreover, Bill’s history with Muschietti makes him a natural candidate for a part.
This revelation has fueled speculation about whether Skarsgard could join the DC Universe, sparking excitement among fans who have long debated his potential to embody Gotham’s most famous faces. When asked if he would consider a comic book movie role, Bill Skarsgård didn’t hesitate to express his interest. “There’s a pretty cool Joker in me, and it would be very sick,” he stated with a hopeful grin. Fans have long imagined Skarsgard as The Joker.

However, the actor surprised many by suggesting he’d also be open to playing Batman. “Why not both?” Skarsgard jo joked. Unlike with The Joker, the notion of him as Batman is certainly unconventional.
People are used to seeing him in villainous roles. However, with his versatility any role is possible. While The Joker seems like a natural fit, Batman would represent a more challenging, unexpected choice. “I like exploring extremes, and playing someone like Batman would push me in a different direction,” he hinted during the podcast.
